i got this to use on long car trips when i visit the family. i'm 7months pregnant and the back pain from riding for 30mins lumbar support for chair was making family gatherings a pain because they're at least 2 3hrs away. so i got this pillow and started seeing a chiropractor once a week. since ordering this pillow i've used it for at least three day trips of 2hr driving and it has greatly reduced the pain. my spine doesn't ache any more and my ribs are only in mild but bearable pain after an hour. i couldn't have asked for more from this product. the strap works great for keeping the pillow in place i've only bothered using it once though i usually just put it behind me and it stays put. i have four herniated discs in my lower back three in my neck degenerative disc disease and a back full of arthritis. i have been like this for many years and i just turned 60 in december. i didn't have much of a choice to quit working at the age of 50 so i spend a lot of time sitting in my chair with my computer on my lap so this gem really helps give me the support i need when i need it. since being home and watching grandkids for the last nine years and taking care of my large home when i get to my chair and relax against my new cushion it's like an ahhhhhh moment. and btw i have another support cushion just like this one but it is not the memory foam and it has a leather covering i can't use it it's so hard and does not support what so ever it makes my back feel worse. so do your research on these before purchasing one. stay away from the ones that are not the memory foam!
